Hey Everyone - Exciting News!!

  Heather's Natural & Organic Cleaning Products is now a division of Jason Natural Products, Inc.. They manufacture natural personal care products utilizing nature's bounty and always with an eye to preserving our environment. They were interested in working with Heather's to grow an incredible line of home care products and I am very exited about the future of Heather's. Jason will work with the highest integrity to create products for you that are useful, safer to use around your children and pets but still effective in their function.

  For those of you who are not familiar with Heather's Natural & Organic Cleaning Products, I would like to share a little information about myself and my family. I am 34 years old, mother of a 2-year-old son, Lucien. Andy is my wonderful husband. He has stuck by me through all the trials and tribulations of starting up the business. We live on Bainbridge Island in Washington state with our 2 cats, Ziggy and Indy.

  I started a hour-cleaning business when I was 14. The business supported me for 16 years and paid for my college education. It gave me freedom to work flexible hours and to travel. After years of cleaning with every toxic chemical you can imagine, I began to suffer from headaches and general fatigue. I began searching for more natural products after I had read a little about chemical sensitivities. I searched store after store for natural cleaning products and bought everything I could find (this was about 10 years ago and the selection was limited). Unfortunately, most of the products didn't cut it. A few of my customers complained that their homes were not as clean as they had been before I switched to more natural brands. However, I did notice that my headaches were gone and I had more energy. Clearly, I had stumbled on a real deficit in the market. Where were the non-toxic, natural AND effective cleaning products? The idea for Heather's was soon to be born.

  I started making my own products using a book of simple recipes but they weren't effective enough. I knew that I needed to consult with a chemist to help me create safe but effective products. It took 2 years to formulate products that were safe that didn't make me sick and that WORKED.

  Some of my clients wanted to buy my products, so we created the Heather's package. My initial intention was to sell products only to my clients but my husband said, why not sell ell to grocery stores. YIKES! I was terrified, but the local store looked at it and said we'll take it! I couldn't believe it. I spent the next 3 years going store to store in the Seattle area. Sales were modest, growing slowly as planned when we found out, to our joy, that I was pregnant! This changed everything. I needed help! Finding a willing, local distributor and some sales reps kept Heather's growing. Sales were up but with a new baby and mail orders piling up in the mailbox I had to take a more aggressive approach. Jason Natural Products was willing to listen to what I had to offer and to my vision for the future of Heathers. Lo' and behold they were interested! Thanks to our association, I can still dream and create new products and be a stay-at-home mom.

  My goal for Heather's Natural & Organic Cleaning Products is to do everything I can to create a healthy, happy home for my family and yours. There are so many things we can do to create a safe home for our families and one is to use only natural products in our homes and, by doing that, teach our children the importance of caring for the environment.
